For 11 years, the Anderson Valley Pinot Noir Festival has highlighted the richness and diversity of the Anderson Valley through its world-class wines, Mendocino County’s culinary delights and engaging local artists and entertainers. The weekend-long festival is one of the region's most eagerly anticipated wine and food events, and sells out every year. There is a technical conference on Friday morning where participants can learn all about Pinot Noir from winemakers and industry experts, followed by a casual barbeque that evening. The Pinot Festival Grand Tasting is on Saturday – providing an opportunity to taste world-class Pinot Noir, perfectly paired with foods crafted by local purveyors. On Sunday local wineries host open houses, which include special tastings, seminars and food and wine pairings.
