Green Jug Wine Tasting Bar – Santa Barbara’s Wealth of Flavors

Right in our own backyard is one of the most exciting, provocative wine regions in the world – Santa Barbara County. Composed of four valleys with distinct climates, they are the home of extremely high quality wines: Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, Syrah, Southern Italian varieties, and even the Bordeaux varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Green Jug will never be a giant liquor superstore and as such, we strive constantly to procure the very best of what a region has to offer – and always at the very best price in the market!

This last Saturday, the 2nd, was a success. With all of our tasters, the wines were a hit. Our hats are off in a salute to Dave Phinney! The wines of Trinitas delivered all the flavor we promised – for everyday drinking prices. We want to let everyone know the Sicilian white we tasted two weeks ago is back in stock. We knew it was good, but the $7.99 price had it flying off of our shelves.

On subsequent weeks we’ll be showcasing:

Looking Glass: The 2004 & 2005 Vintage in California

Wine Spectator Top 100 Wines

We look forward to seeing you at the Wine Tasting Bar on Saturday, May 9th, between 2:00 and 6:00 at Green Jug Wines & Spirits, 6307 Platt Avenue in Woodland Hills.

The bar is definitely less hectic earlier in the day. It’s a great time to try wines before deciding what to drink at home.

So many new faces and we love it when someone new comes in and says, “I don’t know anything about wine, but…” It really is all about tasting and experiencing.

Bring a wine loving friend – See you there!
