| Wine aficionados raise your glasses! Citrus at Social is hosting a series of Pre-Harvest Wine & Jazz Dinners in the month of August every Thursday evening featuring a presentation by a prominent Southern California winemaker with dinner and wine pairings. The wine & jazz dinner is on Thursday nights from 7:00PM to 9:30 PM costs $125.00 per person, which includes the winemakers’ presentation, a five-course meal prepared by Citrus at Social with wine pairings, live jazz, valet parking, tax and gratuity. Steve Clifton, Palmina, and Brewer-Clifton
Brewer-Clifton produces vineyard designated Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from the Santa Rita Hills appellation in Santa Barbara. Greg Brewer and Steve Clifton started the winery in the early 1990s with the aim to capture the vineyards' essence in the bottle. They claim that some of the benefits of the Santa Rita Hills are the area's long growing seasons and diversity of marine-based soils, which give the wines great purity and precision.
Palmina is a small family run operation -- Steve makes the wine and his wife Chrystal manages the books -- focused exclusively on Italian varietals. Chrystal's fluent Italian has helped the couple build relationships with a number of Italian producers who have helped them keep their wines true to the old world styles and techniques appropriate for each varietals.
