For Your Consideration - Just Good Wine
Cost per flight per person: $15.00 ($7.50 for Wine Club Members)
Boeckel Sylvaner, Alsace, France - Sylvaner has not been given its due. This is an old vine Sylvaner, strongly mineral, very clean and bright, with depth and real power. It is not unlike Riesling, but not quite as piquantly acidic.
Cloudline Pinot Noir, Willamette, Oregon - Deep ruby red, the wine is soft and round on the palate, with a delightful core of cherries and red fruits. The overall fruit-forwardness makes for a wine that is thoroughly enjoyable.
Donati Family Vineyards Claret, Paso Robles - A Bordelais blend that shows ripe red fruit on the nose, with dark fruit, chocolate and dusty notes on the palate. Well-integrated tannins give the wine an easy-drinking style.
Joel Gott Zinfandel, California - Dark ruby red color, supple tannins, lively acid structure and elegant balance. Currant, plum and sweet oak aromas lead to ripe berries, cherry, and spicy flavors with a long, sweet and juicy finish.
John Alan Malcontent, Paso Robles - Equal parts Malbec, Petit Verdot, and Zinfandel, bursting with blueberry, plum, cherry, and spice. Tobacco and earth sail on a sea of fine tannins. Long silky finish, bright and focused.
