Porcini Mushroom Bedell Cellars Wine Dinner at La Plage Restaurant

Bedell Cellars (36225 Main Road, Cutchogue, NY) wines will be featured at a wine dinner on Friday, January 16th at 7 p.m. at La Plage Restaurant (131 Creek Road, Wading River, NY, 631-744-9200, www.laplagerestaurant.net). The cost of the dinner is $90 per person, plus tax and tip. The dinner includes six courses paired with Bedell Cellars wines. For reservations call La Plage at (631) 744-9200. The menu is as follows:
First Course Porcini Consomme, Foie Gras and Parsnip Taste White “Artist Label” 2007
Second Course Wild Mushroom, Porcini Crostini and Smoked Beef Carpaccio Bedell Chardonnay 2007
Third Course Porcini, Bacon, Red Wine, Organic Egg en Cocotte Cabernet Franc 2006
Fourth Course Halibut, Porcini, Gnocchi, Leeks, Carrots and Sunchoke Ragout Taste Red “Artist Label” 2006
Fifth Course Buttermilk Poached Organic Chicken with Celery Root Puree, Truffled Porcini and Parsley Coulis Musee “Artist Label” 2006
Sixth Course Porcini Port Crème Brulee Late Harvest Riesling 2007
