This fun, educational neighbourhood mixer and wine tasting is held early and right after work. It's a low cost, fun way to try a few new wines, have a nibble and meet some new people. Seating is at pre-assigned tables; sometimes seated with others, sometimes not.

In keeping with our popular format, try a sampling of three great wines and have three savoury, wine-inspired food tasters while learning from a wine expert as they take you through a casual style tasting. At $25.00 per person, this tasting is a bargain. March's wine expert is none other than Mike Raffan, Township 7 Winery owner who will tell you about the wines and all of the new releases.

This month, we are celebrating BC with the wines of Langley and the Okanagan along with Hamilton Street Grill's, Executive Chef Neil Wyles, wine inspired appetizers.

About the wines: Leaving behind a successful career that spanned 30+ years in the restaurant industry, Mike Raffan chose to pursue his passion for wine and purchased Township 7 Vineyards and Winery from Corey and Gwen Coleman on June 1, 2006. As a veteran restaurateur, Mike has been around wines all of his working life and prior to buying Township 7, was already a big fan.

Township 7 has earned an exceptional reputation for the award-winning quality of its wine and Mike is committed to maintaining that quality with the assistance of Township 7's wine maker, Brad Cooper. While Mike is not planning any significant changes in the foreseeable future, he is renovating the Penticton operations in order to make the wine shop larger and to improve the other facilities.

Township 7 Vineyards and Winery's offerings include Un-Oaked Chardonnay, a barrel aged Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot/Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, a method traditionelle sparkling wine made from 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir, and a late harvest dessert wine. The family owned and operated winery is committed to creating exceptional wines that are complex, flavourful and well balanced.
