EVENT DETAILS:

A first quarter promotion! Wine Beginnings, which is usually $25/person will be complimentary for the first 3 months of '09. Wine Beginnings class occurs the 2nd Friday of every month and is taught by either John Raeder, Wine Consultant or Lindsay Cohen, Marketing & Events Director.

Don’t know much about wine? Not sure where to begin? This one-session class will teach you how to assess like a pro while sampling major varietals and the countries that they come from in an entertaining, interactive setting. You’ll taste six major varietals of the wine world: Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Pinot Noir from the largest wine-producing countries. By assessing the wines through sight, smell, and taste, you’ll learn to identify basic elements of a wine including body, tannin, acidity, sweetness, and other flavor characteristics. You'll see that this base of knowledge will go a long way in terms of being more confident in any social or business setting with food and wine.

All featured wines will be sold at a 20% discount when purchased the night of the event.

For all culinary center events after 6 PM, we ask that you park in the fenced-in lot behind the culinary center off of Prospect St, labeled "880 only." You can enter the culinary center through the doors under the maroon awning. If you park in the Main St lot, you will be asked to move your vehicle. Thanks in advance for your cooperation.
