Sushi and sake is back and better than ever.
We have a new foodie on board, J. Kenji Alt. Kenji's currently a food reporter for various publications including The Boston Phoenix, The Globe, the Globe Magazine, Edible Boston, Boston Magazine, and Cook's Illustrated. However he built his food foundation, cheffing/cooking at numerous renowned restaurants around town including Clio, No. 9 Park, Toro, Uni, and B&G...not too shabby.
And Michael J. Simkin, Sake Expert Extraordinaire is coming back up from NYC to recount his latest adventures at sake breweries of which he's been to over 60 over the course of 40+ trips to Japan. It's usually a safe bet to assume Michael's in Japan tasting sake at any given moment.
The pairing will consist of 6 different sakes paired with 6 small Japanese dishes. Mind you these are tasting portions so it may constitute dinner for some but not others.
I hope you can join us for this rare, exciting event. Sush & sake usually fills up quickly; early registration is recommended.
