Description: Healthy Cooking on a Budget; You must make a reservation with Angela at the soup kitchen to attend. Classes with no reservations are cancelled automatically. Chef Bob Ballantyne of The Cowboy and The Rose Catering takes you through the preparation of healthy, tasty, easy to prepare meals for your family. Whether young or old, just starting out as a college student or retired and learning to cook smaller, cooking for one or 12 you will come away with a better understanding of budget meal preparation. The classes will be held monthly as long as interest remains high. This is the first class in the summer series, Chef Bob Ballantyne has added in a short class on planting and raising herbs and their use. These herbs will be called on in upcoming classes. The class also contains his "Recovering the Lost Meal" tips on turning leftovers into a second meal for the budget minded family. Children welcome with parents, responsible teenagers welcome, Chef Bob Ballantyne of The Cowboy and The Rose Catering runs a fairly laid back class, you will have fun.
