| Riverwalk Trust and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation have teamed up to create the first annual Rocktoberfest, an outdoor beer festival featuring live rock bands on Riverwalk Park on Friday, Oct. 17, 2008, from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Las Olas Riverfront, 300 SW 1st Avenue. The event will raise funds for the two local charities.
For a $20 donation, or $15 prepaid online, guests will be able to sample free beers from participating beer vendors and will receive a beer and/or appetizer from Las Olas Riverfront venues such as Briny Riverfront Pub, Off the Hookah, Palm Grill, Riverfront Pizza, Sunrise Cinemas Stadium 15 Movie Theater, Art Bar, Living Room, Argie Grill and Riverfront Cruises. The event will feature live performances by the Groove Factor, Dulcinea, Hello Human, Stonefox and the Freakin Hott.
