This lab class will include a brief refresher course in basic home winemaking. Participants will then get actual hands-on experience in the "must" preparation part of the process to make a gallon of apple wine. Everyone will get a gallon jug, air lock, stopper, and a gallon of must to take home. Sugar and acid will be measured and adjusted, other required chemicals added, and the yeast hydrated and "pitched". Other operations such as sulfiting, fining, and racking will be demonstrated on a small scale.
