Understanding and shopping at the many farmer’s markets in the area is fun and laid back. We can’t think of a better way to get to know the markets than with the chefs from the New York Wine & Culinary Center. Each Saturday, we’ll begin the morning by meeting in the gardens of the New York Wine & Culinary Center. Then we’ll travel up Main Street to the Canandaigua Farmer’s Market. Each group of four will be given money to buy enough food for their group and each group will be challenged to cook with the foods they buy and the ingredients from the Hands-On Kitchen pantry. Register by yourself and meet new friends or sign up as a group. You may want to attend more than just one of these classes because the food at the market changes throughout the summer season.
