The “Taste of New York” cookbook is a collection of recipes created by great chefs using local ingredients. It’s a celebration of this marvelous farm state: New York!! “Taste of New York” is all about fresh, seasonal and local products. Several recipes in the cookbook were created for the “Taste of New York” 13-week PBS series and the “Taste of New York” theme is supported by the New York Wine & Grape Foundation and the New York Wine & Culinary Center. We celebrate NYS growers everyday by using local products in our Taste of New York Lounge, Educational Classes and Private Events. Participants of this class will prepare recipes from the book and each participant will receive a copy of the cookbook (retail value $39.95). Participants will prepare Monkfish Oreganata, Long Island Steamers, Pine Nut Crusted Salmon with Concord Grape Sauce, Savory Summer Tart, Upstate NY Chicken, Sage Pork Tenderloin with Brown Sugar Apples, Maple Glazed Onions & Lively Run Goat Cheese Tart, and Chèvre Torte with Roasted Asparagus, Leeks & Spinach. A New York State wine will be served with this class. Eat local. Drink local. Think local. Uncork New York!!
