Edinburgh Wine-Mastering the Wine List

Guests will be welcomed at 9.30 am for a full-day course which will introduce the classic grape varieties used to make still wine, focussing on the influences of region, climate & wine making methods on the wines produced. Sparkling, dessert and fortified wines will also be discussed.

Throughout the day, the theory will be illustrated through the tasting of 18 wines. Food and wine matching principles will be introduced and put into practice during a revealing food & wine matching exercise.

You should leave feeling confident in knowing what wines you like, why you like them and hopefully inspired to explore further into this fascinating subject.

The day includes a buffet lunch and refreshments.
