| Join us for an evening of delicious New Orleans-style cuisine and dancing to live music by vocalist John Boutté and his band. Boutté has won Best Male Vocalist year after year at both the Best of the Beat Awards and the Big Easy Awards. Boutté lives and breathes the heart and soul of New Orleans. Born into a large Creole family that goes back seven generations in Louisiana, he was exposed to music early in life, soaking up New Orleans jazz, soul, blues and gospel, then adding his own Creole traditions along the way. Today, John Boutté works with a wonderful amalgam of styles - from torchy jazz to aching soul and African-American gospel - all convincingly delivered.
Proceeds from the event will go towards supporting public radio KUVO's commitment to provide the community with the very best in jazz, Latin jazz, and blues. Balistreri Vineyards presents the debut of the 2008 KUVO Signature Wine: a 2006 Sangiovese, plus a limited edition John Boutté 2005 Syrah.
