Drop by this Saturday, February 14, between 2:00 and 6:00 PM and join us for a special Valentine’s Day tasting of pinks and reds.
On the Tasting Table:
Gruet Brut Rosé (New Mexico): This Methode Champenoise sparkler has a lovely, bright floral bouquet with hints of strawberry, raspberry, and cherry. On the palate, it is rich and fruity in a dry, Brut style. The flavor of berries continues on the palate, revealing more strawberry, raspberry, cherry. Only 5000 cases were produced.
Solorosa Napa Valley Rosé (California): A lively wine that is brimming with watermelon and raspberry flavors. Bright citrus notes add freshness on the finish. This wine is a blend of mostly Sangiovese, with a touch of Syrah for good measure.
Enzo Primitivo (Italy): Intense red; complex and spicy. The Italian version of Zinfandel.
Simon Hackett Old Vine Grenache (Australia): A complex bouquet of black cherries, cinnamon, clove, coffee, vanilla, herbal notes and hints of green peppercorns—it’s a wine you can sit and sniff almost endlessly. The flavors are more straightforward—black cherry and spice—while the texture is delicate, almost soft.
In addition to our free tasting, we will also be offering Bubbles and Ports Pairings at the Wine Bar: This Saturday, we will be offering a pairing menu of your choice of Champagne and Strawberries or Port and Chocolate -- the perfect start or finish to your Valentine’s Day festivities. Available at the wine bar at special Valentine’s Day pricing!
