| The Greyhound Adoption League of Texas (GALT) and Premier Wines present an evening of Greyt wine and appetizers, a silent auction and door prizes Friday, July 11, 7:00 p.m. Proceeds from the event and a portion of wine sales will benefit GALT. The tasting includes wines from all over the world.
Tastings will be served at individual "stations" located throughout Premier Wines. In addition, one 30 minute class will be offered for the wine connoisseur who enjoys a little more detail of wines offered. Mingle around while tasting greyt wines, take a class, or both. Ken Brown, glass engraver, will be available to engrave bottles of wine, wine glasses, and smiles stone. A portion of wine purchased the night of the event will be donated to GALT.
Cost for this extraordinary event is $35.00 and tickets must be purchased in advance at www.galtx.org or by calling 972-503-GALT.
GALT is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit all-volunteer group dedicated to placing all greyhounds, primarily those that competed and trained for racing, into loving homes. GALT facilitates the adoption of greyhounds by providing kennel services and foster homes along with their medical needs, including spay and neuter, assisting them in the transition from track-life to home-life; and educating the public about why the greyhound has been a favored companion dog for more than 4,000 years.
Premier Wines of Plano, Texas, is a full-service wine retailer that also offers wine tasting classes to groups as small as two to as large as thirty-five. Their classes emphasize the owner's belief that wine should be fun, and that "a good wine is a wine that you like." Participants in the classes taste a variety of wines, from sparkling to red to white, and even blue(!), from locations including California, France, Germany, Australia, Chile, Argentina, South Africa, Oregon, Washington State, and more, all of which are available for purchase after the tasting. The classes are run by experienced professionals, who talk about wine making methods, regions, types of grapes, serving suggestions, storage methods, and much more. For information about scheduling a class, visit www.PremierWines.org.
