| The Bank of Kentucky Center is proud to announce that it will play host to the third annual Northern Kentucky Wine Festival on Saturday, June 7th, 2008.
“On behalf of the Northern Kentucky Vintners & Grape Growers Association (NKV&GGA), we are extremely excited to bring the Northern Kentucky Wine Festival to the new Bank of Kentucky Center”, said Dan Bryan, Co-Chair of the Northern Kentucky Wine Festival, “The Center is a first class facility and we are very proud to call it home this June.”
The Northern Kentucky Wine Festival will feature many Kentucky wineries that will be on-site for sampling and purchase of wines. There will be special foods, music, artisans, crafts and Kentucky products as well as presentations on wine, wine and food, and its history and current importance.
“We are equally excited about playing host to the 2008 edition of the Northern Kentucky Wine Festival,” said Les Crooks, general manager for The Bank of Kentucky Center, “NKU is serious about this being a special events center for the entire region and securing an event like the Northern Kentucky Wine Festival is one of the first steps. We look forward to working with the Festival to reach its full potential in the years to come.”
The Northern Kentucky Wine Festival is historic for several reasons: the Festival is taking place in Campbell County where over 150 years ago German immigrants to Kentucky had a flourishing wine industry, and it celebrates the rebirth and growth of the new wine industry in Kentucky. Last years event drew more than 500 people and we are already receiving calls reserving space for this year’s event. We plan to have many Kentucky wineries present for sampling and purchase of wines. There will be special foods, music, artisans, crafts and Kentucky products as well as presentations on wine, wine and food, and its history and current importance. |
