       Urban Vineyard on Chicago's West Side Yields "Muscat" Grapes

A grape harvesting & Winemaking Event for foodies and wine enthusiasts will provide a rare opportunity and experience of being in an Urban Vineyard with an unusual flair of Brazillian excitement and fun.  Festivities will include:  1) grape harvesting/grape picking, 2) winemaking lessons, 3) wine tasting (wines made from Muscat grape & others), 4) a Brazilian feast (buffet), 5) 5) door prizes (wine & food related,  and 6) spirited live entertainment.  Several wine outlets and related companies are participating by donating wine and other related items.  Some of the wines that will be available for tasting include wines made from the "Muscat" grape. 

Divas Sipping was founded in 2006 by a group of African American women intersted in exploring the world of wine through education, sharing of knowledge and enjoyment with friends and like minded individuals.  The group has diverse pbackgrounds and have experienced wineries locally, nationally and internationally.  ChicaGourmets! is a social dining club that focuses on new dining experiences, ethnic cuisine, restauranteurs and cookbook authors.  Sinha is a home based Brazilian cuisine Restaurant that features authentic Brazilian food with a touch of international flair.
