| Andre Clouet Champagne Tasting
nestled in the hilly champagne countryside amongst the best middle slopes of bouzy and ambonnay is the 22-acre grower estate of Andre Clouet. during the reign of Louis XV, house founder Andre Clouet originally served as printer to the royal court at Versailles and as his wine making improved, he evolved into the king's favorite vitner with his wine, "the bouzy". this ancient royal appointment is paid homage through the 'ancient regime' style label.
specializing in pinot noir and blanc de noirs, the Clouet house has produced rich, high quality cuvees that reflect the special character of their exceptionally suited montagne de reims pinot noir vineyards. 100% of their vineyards have the grand cru designation, one of the highest marks of honor for a house that grows all of their own fruit.
Jean- Francois Clouet, head of the Clouet house, will be here pouring his delicious libations for randolph wine cellars and friends!
