| Hart Davis Hart Wine Co., in collaboration with Tru restaurant and Dom Pérignon, will once again hold a charity wine auction and an evening of extraordinary cuisine and rare wines at Tru, located at 676 N. St. Clair Street in Chicago. The event this year will benefit YMCA Camp Independence, a unique, year-round, outdoor retreat and habilitation center in Illinois which will serve children with neurological conditions, such as spina bifida, to build the skills necessary to live independently into the adult years and beyond. Our first event, in September 2006, raised over $100,000 to benefit the then unnamed camp, a project undertaken by The Village Foundation. The Village Foundation was founded to carry out the mission of enhancing the quality of life for thousands of children and young adults with spina bifida and other similar chronic neurological disabilities. In 2007, The Village Foundation became a part of YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago to continue their mission which will be realized with the creation of YMCA Camp Independence. The proceeds from this event will be used to build this camp.
An exquisite multi-course menu will be prepared by award-winning restaurant, Tru, with courses specially designed to be paired with these great wines.
