Chinese New Year Wine Dinner. Gung Hay Fat Choy! It's the Year of the Rat, Cellar Rat. Join us at Vella Cafe on Thursday, February 7th at 7:00 pm for a 6 course meal with wine pairings provided by Cellar Rat. You must reserve in advance by calling Cellar Rat at 773-489-2728. Cost of the dinner is $75, which includes tax, gratuity & wine. Our menu will include shrimp & scallop wontons with chili oil & brown vinegar paired with Col Vetoraz Prosecco. Ma Po Tofu/Prince Von Hessen Reisling; Shrimp with black beans & rice cakes/Di Giovanni Nerello Mascalese Rosato; Citrus sesame glazed salmon, grilled bok choy/Domaine de la Madonne Beajolais; Red cooked pork belly & sticky rice/Graziano Zinfandel; Orange ginger creme brulee/Vale Mistrale Verdehlo Vin du Naturale.
