| On Thursday, May 1, 2008, the Wine Enthusiast will host its \"Toast of the Town\" food, wine, and music event in Chicago. This event, an annual highlight of the New York City, Atlanta, and San Francisco epicurean scene, is a wine and food lover\'s dream.
The Field Museum provides a stunning backdrop for this grand event with over 70 domestic and international wine producers and the culinary creations and signature dishes from top area restaurants accompanied by live jazz.
Doors open for a VIP tasting at 5:00pm with tickets priced at $185. The VIP Tasting is a pre-event tasting of reserve and estate wines and includes admission to the larger Grand Tasting from 7:00-10:00 PM. Grand Tasting tickets are priced at $95.
Also part of this event is a Silent Auction, with donations from the participating wineries and restaurants, to benefit the Field Museum. For both tastings, space is limited and tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. For information or to purchase tickets, go to ToastOfTheTown.com or call 800-847-5949.
