In Cognac, France, they say that the Cognac evaporating into the air from its aging barrels is "the angel's share." But come to Sam's Wines & Spirits, Lincoln Park, on Thursday, May 31, and snatch some of the angel's share before it gets away. Alexandre Koiransky, Midwest Director of Cognac Ferrand, will lead a seminar from 6:30-8 p.m. that evening to teach you more about the history of Cognac, how to pair it with food and how to make Cognac-based cocktails. You will taste five major Cognac cocktails as well as some of Ferrand's own Cognacs including Ambre, Reserve and Selection des Anges ("The Angel's Selection").
