| As Fall approaches we are off to one of our favorite wineries...Sharpe Hill Vineyards in Pomfret, Connecticut on Saturday, October 25, 2008. We will leave the Cape at 12:00 p.m. and return by 8:00 p.m. We will make time to stop at Federal Hill in Providence, Rhode Island on our way to the Sharpe Hill Vineyards. This is a great time to visit the Italian Markets, bring your coolers and fill them with mouthwatering Italian Specialty cheeses, bread, prepared foods and meats. You have to be careful not to spoil your appetite before we arrive for our dinner at the winery.
We will begin with a five flight wine tasting accompanied by fruit and cheese.
Our choices for dinner will be:
Filet Mignon-A wood grilled 8 oz. Steakhouse Prime filet mignon
Spicy Jamaican Chicken-A wood grilled boneless breast of chicken marinated Jamaican Jerk Sauce Swordfish-Fresh swordfish steak infused with fresh rosemary, garlic, and our American Chardonnay.
A glass of wine of your choice will be included with your dinner, and the chef will select the vegetables to be served with your dinner.
Our dessert choices this year are:
Moon Mountain Torte---Mouthwatering layers of chocolate cake, chocolate ganache, and buttercream with chocolate chips, white chocolate and hazelnuts, laced with chocolate liquer.
Pumpkin Cheesecake-- A delicious pumpkin cheesecake with a hint of cognac topped with whipped cream. French Pear Tartlet--Individual classic French puff pastry covered with a thin layer of almond cream, pear slices, and apricot glaze served warm.
You can meet us at the winery for dinner or you can come along with us... |
