A Tour of Italian wines: 10 monthly sessions (October 2008/ June 2009) in Brussels.

Starting from October we launch a tour of the world of Italian wines organised in 10 thematic sessions (ending June 2009), mostly on the basis of geographical areas of Italy (Piemonte, Tuscany, Veneto) or in some cases on the basis of specific wines/grapes (for example Sangiovese/Brunello or Pinot Noir in Italy).

The tastings take place on Wednesday/Thursday and cost 30€ per session.

The third tasting focuses on "A tour around Verona: soave, valpolicella, amarone and recioto...".

Verona is a kay wine area in Italy, famous in particolar for Valpolicella and the peculiar wine that is called "Amarone", produced with dried grapes. We will taste various wines from the area including two amarone and one recioto (it can be considered the sweet version of Amarone, since it comes also from dried grapes) from some key producers like Allegrini, Inama, Santa Sofia and others.
