In Spain we will traverse from the sparkling Cava to the beloved Riojas before hitting a bottle of sherry. In the 80’s Chile burst on the scene with outstanding Cabernet Sauvignons, Merlots, Pinot Noirs, Chardonnays, and Sauvignon Blancs. Known for value the world has caught on causing the prices to rise. Still there are some hidden gems just waiting to be discovered.

Argentinean wine quality has been steadily growing after the devastating onslaught of El Nino in 1998. The Mendoza region produces 75% of the country`s total wine output. Although desert like the Andes provide a continuous supply of water. Malbecs are the most impressive, but several whites are hot on their heels.
