DESCRIPTION - Frank Gentile, owner and co-founder of Vintwood International, has been in the wine business for over 44 years. In fact his father and uncle, after emigrating from Italy in the early 1900s, also were in the wine business. You can say that wine runs through the Gentiles' veins.

Vintwood International Ltd. was founded 18 years ago when Gentile became unexpectedly un-employed. Considering prospects of finding a like position with another importer at age 50 slim, he decided to start a new wine business. New, in the sense that the business was new but, also because the concept was new.

Vintwood is not simply selling a bottler's brand. Gentile selects wines directly from the growers¿ vineyard estates, makes his blends, then markets his own brands. That is, Vintwood controls everything from the vineyard to the table.

Vintwood's most popular brands are San Giuseppe, Pere Alessandro and Palazzetti.
