The answer to your question about the value of these bottles is not that obvious, since selling single bottles of wine or Champagne is difficult - unless you happen to know someone who has a strong interest in those particular bottlings. There are certainly those who covet Dom Perignon, so this may be less difficult. Why not ask friends and acquaintances? The 1970 DP is being offered at retail for $400 to $895 per bottle, and the 1975 is going for $295 to $400.

The first question that a knowledgeable person will ask is: where and how have these bottles been stored? While Dom Perignon has a history of developing over many years once disgorged and released, Champagne is very sensitive to poor storage conditions (fluctuation of temperature and heat in particular).
