| Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort’s Winemaker Dinner Series at the award-winning Lone Eagle Grille continues this October with an evening featuring highly acclaimed wines from Frank Family Vineyards paired with Lone Eagle Grille Chef de Cuisine Mark May’s exceptional High Sierra Cuisine. Guests will enjoy the restaurant’s matchless panoramic views of Lake Tahoe and the surrounding Sierra Nevada Mountains while indulging in a four-course menu perfectly paired with some of the best labels in the winery’s portfolio, including Signature Brut Sparkling Wine, 2006 Napa Chardonnay, 2006 Zinfandel, 2004 Napa Cabernet Sauvignon, and Zinfandel Port.
Guests will have the rare opportunity to taste Frank Family’s carefully handcrafted wines, which are sold only at the winery and in a handful of select restaurants and retailers. Representatives from Frank Family Vineyards will attend the dinner to offer expert knowledge and personally answer guests’ queries. Established 1884, the winery is housed in the historic Larkmead Winery in Napa Valley and produces wines that live up to the heritage of the land on which the labels are produced. Guests will sample the Signature Brut Sparkling Wine, an elegant champagne exhibiting a fine mousse of tiny, persistent bubbles; Napa Chardonnay, bright and lively with aromas of lemon and lime zest; 2006 Zinfandel, dark and rich in color, reminiscent of violets; and Zinfandel Port, with hints of graham cracker, roasted nuts, mocha and molten chocolate.
The Menu: Chef May’s winter approach to High Sierra Cuisine at Lone Eagle Grille means sophisticated yet approachable comfort foods, thoughtfully prepared to retain the greatest freshness, flavor and color of the spectacular regionally-sourced winter produce, seafood, and game. Menu highlights include: Cauliflower and Goat Cheese Gratin with Savory Herb Tuile, Venison Osso Bucco With Parsnip and Wild Mushroom Hash, and Chocolate Bread Pudding with Zinfandel Port Syrup.
